Learning Spanish through songs: Despacito part 1

You've probably heard it a zillion of times, not even knowing it (5,5bln yt views must have come from somewhere). Why not learn the vocabulary, which is pretty basic Spanish. Without further ado, let's cut to the chase.

Sí, sabes que ya llevo un rato mirándote
Tengo que bailar contigo hoy (DY)
Vi que tu mirada ya estaba llamándome
Muéstrame el camino que yo voy (Oh)

The words that you might learn from this verse are as follows:

VERBS – As Spanish can be quite tricky when it comes to verbs, they might change when you change the tense and or conjugate, I have given the infinitives here, together with the conjugated version that appears in the song, to make it easier for you to search for the right word. The thing is that in this exercise you need to find equivalents of the words given below, otherwise it does not make sense, and you won't learn it that quickly or at all if I did that for you. So go ahead!

saber (sabes)
llevar (lleo)
mirar (mirandote)
tener (tengo)
estar (estaba)
ver (vi)
llamar (llamandome)
mostrar (muestrame)
ir (voy)

If you want to learn more words from the Despacito song, stay tuned and see the second part of this post here.

After going through a few verses, you shouldn't have any doubts what the song is really about, if you still had some... :)
